A few weeks ago we discovered a leak in our main pipe that was causing flooding in our basement. We were unable to use any source of water due to the leak and needed someone to fix our problem quickly. I came across Ricky Rooter on the internet and thought I would call and see if I got a call back early the next day. Not only did Ricky answer the phone at 11pm at night but he offered to come over immediately to look at the problem. Seeing as it was late we decided to wait until the morning. He fit us in and showed up on time. I was very impressed with how considerate he was throughout the initial contact and professional he was during the service call. He came in and spent time accessing the issue and providing me with a very clear explanation of what the problem was and what he would need to do to fix it. Ricky's costs were very fair and much lower than we expected considering the work to be done. He stayed that morning to complete the work that needed done and even did a couple of other add on projects for us. At the end of the visit he advised me of additional work that needed done with reasonable time lines and a cost. There was no pressure and I felt like I was receiving a very honest quote on work that we knew needed done. I would very highly recommend Ricky Rooter for any job needing done and would not hesitate to call him again for any work needing to be done. Very professional, friendly and honest individual. We found our pipe leaking in the basement last night due to the end cap being split. I called several plumbers this morning but only Rickey answered the call. I needed a plumber to inspect my water meter, after a bit of a flood in the basement and stop a toilet from constantly running. I didn't have any referrals or recommendations so I looked up 3 somewhat major plumbing companies online who quoted me a fee between $80 - $120 to come to the house and hourly labour fee between $35 - $50. I then saw an online review that encouraged people to try the smaller plumbing companies and that's when I came across some very positive Home Stars online reviews for Rickey Rooter. When I called Rickey for a quote, he said "why don't I just come out to the house and once I know what the problem is, I'll tell you about it and how much it will cost to repair" - no initial fee required! I was immediately impressed and hoped it wasn't a 'too good to be true' story. Rickey quickly made himself available and assessed the problem in no time. He explained everything to me in layman's terms so I could understand and his cost was very reasonable. Further, I mentioned a concern I had about a toilet that was constantly running and it rocked from side to side!! I asked if it would be best to buy a new toilet, and he told me he could repair it to work perfectly without the extra cost. Just as I thought we would schedule a day for the work to get done, he went out to his truck, brought in some tools, a few parts and before I knew it, everything was fixed and working better than ever - 100% Furthermore, he left me with good advice and helpful tips at no extra cost! Rickey is extremely pleasant, honest, trustworthy, punctual, dependable, and does quality work at an affordable price. I am very happy to say I have found my plumber of choice!!

Within the first month of moving to a new home, we discovered that the toilet downstairs was running and that whoever installed the kitchen sink had switched the piping somehow and hot was coming out of the cold faucet and visa versa. I found Rick on the internet. called and was able to speak to him directly. Rick fixed both our problems within no time. I was impressed with his curteous and professional manner. I was even more impressed when he provided me with the bill of service which was well within my limited budget.
